SEMINAR DISCUSSION AND REFLECTION #1

The idea of recording ourselves in a video is a really interesting way to do self feedback. This works very well because I could not only listen to myself, but also watch up different gestures and body language I usually do at the moment of speaking.

One of those is the habit of cracking my knuckles while I speak. This is something I immediately saw as I started to talk. In addition, I am still working to find out a good tone of voice so that I can be clearly heard and avoid sounding rude.

On the other hand, I think the discussion went really smoothly. We all participated almost the same number of times and we could clearly express our deep thoughts and points of view related to the video. My partners and I decided to speak a certain time, enough to express the main idea of the thought by giving examples and others details. Without any doubt, I think we understood each other very well and kept the conversation/discussion, going on effectively with no silence or dead silence sounds at all.

Moreover, It worked that we know each other either from school, work and the previous training course in Panama so that we handled it majestically. Proof of that is the fact that we did not even correct the other if a mistake on the pronunciation or grammar appeared (I have to say they were not too many, by the way.) If that was the case and someone of us did a little mistake when they were speaking, we had the skill to realise it and fix it right away during the conversation.

In conclusion, the strategy did the job and we really enjoyed the making of the video. Besides that, with the conversation we could not only express our opinion, but also recognise our weaknesses.
