Academic Biography

After two years studying as an engineer, I decide to quit and start something different that could help me to help others. Then, I enrolled in the English Bachelor at the Universidad de Panama in 2011 and studied there for five years. The courses were mainly focused on the language it self, in order to strengthen the students' competence in branches such as Grammar, Integrated Skills, Academic Writing and Public Speaking. The last two years of the program were to introduce us at teaching.
I have to say, indeed, I have not had formal experience teaching. However, I can mention I did an one month teaching practicum, with students from sixth and seventh grade at San Vicente De Paul school and, a summer school for kids who were eight to ten years old; third to fifth grade respectively, at Jose De La Cruz
Merida school in Cañazas.
Besides those, I can add my experience as an English-Spanish interpreter. Firstly, three weeks in Darien province, where I worked with college students from state universities at Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Cleveland and Oklahoma, United States. Secondly, two weeks in Cerro Plata, Cañazas with Mrs Christel Lammers; a childcare expert, the coordinator of help and support programs in the Netherlands and the sponsor of different non-profit foundations in Panama.
